Technical Engineer CAD- Gr II

Roles & Responsibilities of CAD Design Engineer :

• Product Design: Develop mechanical designs, 3D models, and drawings using CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, etc.).

• Concept Development: Create design concepts based on functional, performance, and cost requirements.

• Engineering Calculations: Perform calculations for strength, thermal performance, tolerances, and material selection.

• Prototyping & Testing: Support prototype development, testing, and validation of mechanical components or assemblies.

• Manufacturing Support: Coordinate with fabrication, machining, sheet-metal, or production teams to ensure manufacturability.

• Documentation: Prepare BOMs, technical drawings, design reports, and engineering change documents.

• Compliance & Standards: Ensure designs meet industry standards, safety requirements, and regulatory specifications.

• Cross-Functional Coordination: Work with electrical, electronics, and project teams during product development.
